What the French Ministry of Culture records

Carrée à l'extérieur et cylindrique à l'intérieur, la tour du guet fut construite vers 1477. C'est le dernier vestige de l'ancienne forteresse, siège de la baronnie de Bazoches, détruite en partie en 1137 par Geoffroy Plantagenet. Le logis seigneurial subsiste avec des éléments édifiés du 15e au 18e siècle. La tour renferme un escalier. Un autre escalier très étroit, s'embranchant dans le premier, est établi dans la tourelle ronde construite en encorbellement à l'un des angles de l'édifice. Cette tourelle donne accès à la partie supérieure de la tour, qui comporte une pièce avec une cheminée de la fin du 15e siècle.
