Château d'Orain stands in Grignon (Côte-d'Or), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: first half of the 17th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
The château d'Orain stands in Grignon, in the Côte-d'Or, on the site of a former medieval fortified house of which nothing visible remains. Rebuilt in the 17th century by the Bretaigne family, it consists of a low main building flanked by two wings enclosing a courtyard, the whole surrounded by moats. The complex survived the Revolution unscathed and still looks much as it did in the late 18th century.
