Château de Courcelles-lès-Montbard stands in Courcelles-lès-Montbard (Côte-d'Or), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: second half of the 13th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
In Courcelles-lès-Montbard, on a hillside above the Brenne valley, stands a fortified house built in the 13th century by the knight Jean de Frôlois, a vassal of the Duke of Burgundy. The complex arranges a tall four-storey tower and two later wings around a square courtyard, the whole flanked by corbelled turrets. The interior retains notable medieval military features: chamfered corbel fireplaces, mullioned windows with trefoil lintels, and traces of heraldic paintings on the plasterwork of the upper floors.
