What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château reconstruit au 16e siècle sur l'emplacement d'un édifice médiéval. Remanié aux 17e et 18e siècles. A la Révolution, le domaine est vendu comme bien national et en partie incendié (subsistent l'aile nord et une tour). A la fin du 19e siècle, le peintre Berne-Bellecour puis le musicien Jules Massenet font d'importants travaux.
