What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château forme un ensemble de constructions en ruines n'ayant pas subi de remaniements importants depuis sa construction, qui date de la seconde moitié du 12e siècle. Une enceinte rectangulaire est défendue par quatre tours placées aux angles. Sur l'une des faces, deux autres tours flanquent la porte d'entrée. Le centre de cette enceinte est occupé par un donjon rectangulaire, flanqué de quatre tourelles. Appuyés sur deux faces des courtines s'étendaient les bâtiments d'habitation dont il reste quelques fragments et des substructions.
