Bought back from neglect in 1839 by the Countess Paul de Ségur, it owes its current appearance to that restoration, carried out at a time when Sophie Rostopchine, the future Countess de Ségur, used to visit her husband's family there. The estate remains in the hands of their descendants, the La Rochefoucauld family.
