Château d'Anqueville stands in Bouteville (Charente), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
The Château d'Anqueville stands on a rocky spur overlooking a stream, at the boundary of the communes of Bouteville, Saint-Même-les-Carrières and Graves-Saint-Amant in the Charente department. The remains reflect several overlapping periods: a rectangular keep from the 13th century flanked by a polygonal turret added in the 15th century, remnants of fortifications with a wall-walk and curtain walls, and a façade dating from the 18th century. Destroyed during the Hundred Years' War and later rebuilt, the site bears the marks of a turbulent past, including damage from the Wars of Religion and partial demolition in the 19th century.
