What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le château et le parc sont édifiés en 1917 pour François Thévenot, fournisseur de matériel durant la guerre de 14-18. Le château d'eau est la première réalisation architecturale connue de Le Corbusier.L'ouvrage en béton armé inclue une salle de repos panoramique. Le domaine comprend également un parc paysager offrant un parcours d'eau d'inspiration japonaise. L'ensemble est agrémenté d'une statuaire réalisée par deux artistes travaillant à Rome et qui ont réalisé, en marbre ou en bronze, des copies d'antiques et d'oeuvres Renaissance. Dans la seconde moitié du 20e siècle, le domaine est morcelé et le château d'eau désaffecté.
