To make a day of it

Château Bon stands in Montpellier (Hérault), in the Occitanie region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Château Bon is a Montpellier folly built in the late 17th century for Philibert de Bon, a leading magistrate of the city's chamber of accounts, to designs by royal architect Augustin-Charles d'Aviler. Thoroughly reworked between 1858 and 1862, it kept its original layout but gained a new exterior, including a Mansard roof and Louis XIII style ornamentation. The building now stands within the Font-Colombe park, in the La Martelle district, whose grounds and gardens belong to the city's public domain.
