What the French Ministry of Culture records

Siège de la Société d'Agriculture, d'Horticulture et d'Acclimatation de Nice et des Alpes-Maritimes, société savante fondée en 1860. Dessiné par Paul Martin, ingénieur des arts et métiers et secrétaire général de la Société en 1900, l'édifice est construit à partir de 1900 et inauguré le 8 avril 1901 par le Président de la République, Emile Loubet. C'est un témoin des activités d'une société savante et l'un des vestiges de la Belle Epoque sur la Promenade des Anglais.
