The manor of Kernault, in Mellac, Finistère, was built in the early 15th century by the Talhouët family before passing through marriage to the Le Beuff, Le Véer, Coëtnours and du Vergier de Kerhorlay families. The main dwelling, altered in the 17th and 18th centuries, retains a spiral staircase, a great hall with a monumental fireplace, and a chapel holding fragments of heraldic stained glass salvaged from Mellac's former parish church. Surrounding the house are timber-framed outbuildings now used for exhibitions, along with grounds that include an orchard and a pond. Owned by the Finistère department since 1990, part of the estate was damaged by a fire in January 2025 during restoration work.
