What the French Ministry of Culture records
A l'origine existait une villa romaine. Au 14e siècle, le fief relevait de l'archevêché de Tours et de la châtellenie de Boussay. Au 19e siècle, le manoir est morcelé. Un plan de 1756 le montre dans son unité, avec puits, fontaine et fuye. Il est formé de deux corps de logis accolés. La façade longeant le chemin communal a été refaite au 20e siècle. Un escalier à vis de Saint-Gilles conduit au premier étage où se trouve une grande cheminée dont la hotte est décorée d'une fresque représentant le débarquement de Sainte-Marthe en provence. Une autre cheminée du res-de-chaussée porte également sur sa hotte une inscription du 16e siècle. De ce manoir dépend une chapelle creusée dans le roc. Sa façade est percée d'une porte et de deux baies géminées dont les piédroits sont décorés de motifs du 16e siècle.
