To make a day of it
Wasserschloss Hülsede stands in Hülsede (Landkreis Schaumburg), in Lower Saxony, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Hülsede Water Castle stands between the Süntel and Deister ridges, in the Landkreis Schaumburg in Lower Saxony. Built from the sixteenth century onward by the von Rottorp family, it reflects the early Weser Renaissance style through its three wings arranged around a rectangular courtyard, the whole surrounded by a wide moat. A notable feature is the double bread oven preserved in the so called summer hall building, an unusual sight in castles of this kind. The old and new residential wings, raised decades apart, still show restrained ornamentation with late Gothic touches.
