The Wasserburg Flügelau is a vanished moated castle site, located in a damp meadow at the confluence of the Herrenbach and the Maulach, roughly one kilometre southwest of Crailsheim-Roßfeld. No masonry remains above ground: only an earthen mound about three metres high, surrounded by faint low ramparts still visible in places, marks where the former rectangular tower keep and its outer bailey once stood. The place reads today as an archaeological trace in the landscape rather than a standing building.
