Schloss Übigau stands in Dresden (Dresden), in Saxony, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Übigau stands on the banks of the Elbe, in an industrial district in the northwest of Dresden. Built in the 1720s for a powerful Saxon minister, it was soon bought by Elector Augustus the Strong, who used it for lavish court festivities. Its garden facade, opened by stacked arcaded loggias, recalls Italian Renaissance architecture, an unusual feature among the pleasure palaces of the region. The building, now badly deteriorated and rarely open, can mostly only be viewed from outside.
