Schloss Thierlstein stands on an outcrop of pale quartz rock in the Thierlstein district of Cham, in Bavaria. The complex is still surrounded by a granite rubble wall with a double flight staircase and a corner tower. Carefully restored, the castle now hosts cultural events, including Christmas markets.
