To make a day of it
Schloss Sacrow stands in Nord (Potsdam), in Brandenburg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Recorded dating: 18th century. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Sacrow stands on the shore of the Sacrow lake, set within a landscaped park designed to open views toward the nearby palaces of Pfaueninsel, Glienicke and Babelsberg. Built in 1773 as a manor house, it was enlarged in the 19th century when Frederick William IV had architect Ludwig Persius add an Italian-style wing. The original baroque interior was largely lost during 20th-century remodelling, though the park laid out by Peter Joseph Lenné still preserves its sightlines across the Havel.
