The Jagdschloss Grunewald stands on the shore of the Grunewaldsee in Berlin and is considered the oldest surviving château in the city. Built in the mid 16th century for Elector Joachim II of Brandenburg as a hunting lodge, it was reworked in a Baroque style in the early 18th century under King Frederick I.
