Schloss Reichertshausen stands in Reichertshausen, Bavaria, on a site first recorded in the eighth century. Originally built around 1100 and reshaped in late Gothic style during the sixteenth century, it was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War and rebuilt as a moated castle with a surrounding wall and water-filled ditch. Arranged as a three-wing complex closed off by a wall around a courtyard, it still holds Gothic frescoes uncovered during a late-1970s renovation. Owned by the von Cetto family since 1840, the estate is best appreciated from its English-style park.
