To make a day of it

Schloss Neuenstein stands in Neuenstein (Hohenlohekreis), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Standing at the centre of Neuenstein in the Hohenlohekreis, this Schloss grew out of a thirteenth century moated castle into a solid Renaissance residence still held by the House of Hohenlohe after nearly seven hundred years. Its four closed wings surround a courtyard, flanked by a Romanesque keep and two round towers, with a bridge leading to the decorated entrance portal. The museum inside preserves rooms largely in their original state, including a late medieval kitchen and a cabinet of curiosities gathering art and historical relics.
