To make a day of it
Schloss Kunreuth stands in Kunreuth (Landkreis Forchheim), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.
Schloss Kunreuth stands on the northwestern edge of the village bearing its name, in Bavaria. Its turbulent history can be traced back to at least 1409, the date of the first document attesting to a stronghold on the site, which was destroyed and rebuilt several times during the conflicts that marked the region. A former moated castle, with its ditches now partly filled in, it retains a rectangular layout formed by a west and a south wing, the latter containing the oldest surviving parts of the building. The estate remains in the hands of the von und zu Egloffstein family, who have passed it down for generations.
