To make a day of it
Schloss Hochhausen stands in Haßmersheim (Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Hochhausen stands on a low spur above the Neckar river, in Haßmersheim, in the Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis. The building seen today, reshaped in Baroque style in 1752, grew out of a medieval stronghold, of which a round-arched frieze and thick garden-facing walls still remain. The three-wing structure, still inhabited by the von Helmstatt family, retains a lived-in character rather than that of a static heritage site. A notable feature is the two-storey entrance hall added in 1895, with its grand staircase and surrounding gallery.
