Schloss Haldem stands in Stemwede (Kreis Minden-Lübbecke), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Haldem stands on the southern slope of the Stemweder Berg, in Stemwede, North Rhine-Westphalia. Once a manorial estate of the bishops of Minden first recorded in 1236, it was rebuilt in Baroque style at the turn of the eighteenth century after being destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. Successive uses, from a boarding school for noblewomen to a Hitler Youth leadership school and later a clinical institution, have considerably altered its original appearance. The site today looks less like a pleasure residence than a complex reshaped by the institutions that occupied it.
