Schloss Grube is the last fully preserved manor house of the von Quitzow family, located in Bad Wilsnack in Brandenburg. Built in the mid eighteenth century on the remains of an earlier structure, it retains a symmetrical baroque facade and, on the ground floor, a sequence of rooms arranged in the classic enfilade style. Altered several times, notably around 1889 and again in the 1920s, the building went through a variety of uses during the East German era before being restored from 2008 onwards according to heritage conservation standards.

Frequently asked
- Can visitors tour Schloss Grube freely?
- The building currently houses a hotel along with a cultural and dining venue, so access is tied to these uses rather than to a classic museum tour.
- Who built Schloss Grube?
- The manor was built between 1740 and 1742 by the von Quitzow family, who had been settled in Grube since the fourteenth century, on the remains of an earlier structure.
- What architectural style does the schloss show?
- Despite later alterations, the building remains a baroque example, recognisable by its symmetrical facade and its enfilade room arrangement.
- Has the castle always belonged to the same family?
- No, after the von Quitzow family left around 1817, the estate passed successively to the Polzin family, to the Putlitz family from 1889, and then to the Kamlah family from 1919 to 1945.
