Schloss Dippach stands on the Schlossplatz in the village of Dippach, within the Wartburgkreis, close to the parish church. What remains today, a four storey main building with its slate clad stair tower jutting into the courtyard, is only part of what was once a four winged half timbered manor built in the Franconian Thuringian style. A major fire in 1927 destroyed the outbuildings and reduced the original estate. A family coat of arms belonging to the Vultejus family, one of the estate's former owners, still decorates the inner courtyard.

The building has served and still partly serves local public functions such as the town administration, a school, a kindergarten and an after school club, which limits access to certain areas only.
