To make a day of it

Schloss Dahlhausen stands in Menden (Sauerland) (Märkischer Kreis), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.

Schloss Dahlhausen stands on a raised terrace above the Ruhr valley, at Menden, on the edge of the village of Halingen. The complex combines two manor houses of different periods joined by a central range: an older Baroque wing from the eighteenth century and a later Neo-Baroque building added at the end of the nineteenth century under the von Fürstenberg family. The buildings are surrounded by a landscape park with old trees and remnants of a former moat. The estate remains in the hands of the von Fürstenberg family and serves as a private residence.
