Schloss Büchold stands on a hilltop in the Büchold district, part of the town of Arnstein in Bavaria. What survives today of the medieval stronghold and the later Renaissance mansion is a ruin centered on a round Romanesque keep nearly 26 metres high, set within a circular perimeter wall. The site underwent structural restoration between 2009 and 2011, following centuries of gradual decline that began in the late 18th century.
