Originally built as a stronghold in the thirteenth century, it was reshaped over generations by the von Arnim family into a broad three-wing residence, combining the Renaissance Altschloss with the Neuschloss altered in the nineteenth century. Visitors today find turrets, a knights' hall and grounds reaching toward the nearby lakes. The interior can only be seen as part of a guided tour.
