To make a day of it
Ruine Vörbach stands in Pfalzgrafenweiler (Landkreis Freudenstadt), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.
The Vörbach Castle ruin sits on a rocky spur above the Waldach valley near Pfalzgrafenweiler. Of this former ridge castle only fragments remain: parts of the keep, the shield wall and a flanking tower, on a site still cut off from the rest of the ridge by a curved ditch. The bossed ashlar stonework seen on the keep's remains points to a late Hohenstaufen-era construction. Today the place is best approached as a wooded viewpoint rather than a restored castle.
