The Palais Bissing is a grand townhouse in Munich's Schwabing district, built in 1880/81 to designs by Josef Hölzle in the Neo-Renaissance style. Egyptologist Friedrich Wilhelm von Bissing had it entirely remodelled in 1902/03 by Ernst Robert Fiechter in a reformist style. The three-storey building features a rounded corner bay and a mansard hipped roof, and was built as a semi-detached pair with the neighbouring Pacelli-Palais. Given to the city of Munich in 1914 and damaged during the Second World War, it was restored close to its original appearance between 1976 and 1979.
