To make a day of it

Lersner’sches Schloss stands in Frankfurt am Main (Frankfurt am Main), in Hesse, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

The Lersner'sches Schloss, also known as Charlottenburg, stands in Nieder-Erlenbach, a district of Frankfurt am Main, near the remains of an older moated castle of which almost nothing survives. The present baroque manor house was built in 1746 for the von Lersner family, who had accumulated large landholdings in Nieder-Erlenbach over several generations. Behind the house lies a landscaped park laid out in the English style by Heinrich Siesmayer. The estate still shows the layout of a fortified farmstead, with its three-sided courtyard typical of the Hesse region.
