The Jagdschloss Letzlingen stands in the Colbitz-Letzlinger Heide, in the south of the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel, on the site of a hunting lodge repeatedly rebuilt since the sixteenth century. It is the last surviving Hohenzollern residence in Saxony-Anhalt, shaped above all by the neo-Gothic remodelling ordered by the Prussian king Friedrich Wilhelm IV in the 1840s. Visitors can see the main house with its round stair tower and the crenellated corner towers of the surrounding wall, along with a chapel built under the same king. An exhibition on the history of royal Prussian hunts now occupies the upper floor of the main building.
