To make a day of it

Eringaburg stands in Delligsen (Landkreis Holzminden), in Lower Saxony, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

The Eringaburg is an Iron Age hillfort set on a spur of the Hils range, south of Delligsen near Ammensen, also known locally as the Hünenburg bei Ammensen. A curved rampart and ditch system, roughly 300 metres long and up to two metres deep in places, closed off the plateau on its western side, while steep slopes to the south and east provided natural defence. Hidden within a dense beech forest, the earthworks remain clearly traceable on the ground today.
