Located in Lehrberg, in the Landkreis Ansbach, this modest schloss stands on the site of a moated castle founded before 1265 by a branch of the lords of Birkenfels. The present building, rebuilt between 1626 and 1629 after a period of ruin, is a two storey structure with a hipped roof and an octagonal stair tower rising above the roofline. The moat, ring wall and round towers recorded in an eighteenth century description no longer survive.
