The Burgwall Feldhusen is a former circular fortified site located northeast of the village of Feldhusen, on a hill known as the Schlossberg, within the municipality of Dassow. Also called the Harkenwall, the site likely dates from the Slavic period, between the tenth and twelfth centuries, and served as the fortified seat of a local nobleman within the territory of the Obodrites. Its position in a lowland area near the Deipsee provided natural protection against sudden attacks. A local legend holds that the pirate Klaus Störtebeker once took refuge there and hid treasure on the site.
