Burgruine Helmishofen stands in Kaltental (Landkreis Ostallgäu), in Bavaria, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Burg Helmishofen survives today only as a massive keep overlooking the Kaltental valley, near Kaltental in the Ostallgäu district. Built in the 12th century by the lords of Helmishofen, it withstood sieges and fires and was rebuilt more than once before being finally abandoned after a fire in 1792. Only the keep, made of regular conglomerate stone blocks, escaped being dismantled by local farmers for building material, and it now serves as a lookout tower. A narrow staircase leads up inside to a view over the valley.
