The Burgruine Dobl stands on a steep rocky spur roughly 400 metres high, overlooking the village of Dobl in the municipality of Winzer, Bavaria. Of the former spur castle, only the two storey Romanesque chapel built against the shield wall survives, together with remnants of that wall and the outer ring wall. Near the former northwest entrance, a dry moat can still be traced. The site is notable chiefly for its commanding position and for the rare medieval chapel still standing among the ruins.
