Burg Wellberg is a vanished medieval motte site about two and a half kilometres southwest of Pfungstadt in Hesse. All that remains today is an uneven mound roughly six metres high and fifty metres across at the base, with no standing structure. Excavations in 1936 and again in 2013 uncovered an outer bailey not previously known, along with traces of stonework, pottery, metal and bone fragments. The original name of the stronghold has never been recorded in any surviving document.
