Built most likely by the lords of Gundelfingen in the 11th century, it survives only as faint traces: the summit plateau was so small that it could have held no more than a residential or watchtower, and it was once ringed by a system of ramparts and ditches, parts of which can still be made out. The site suits hikers interested in archaeological remains rather than visitors expecting an intact building.
