To make a day of it
Burg Hohenhardt stands in Wiesloch (Rhein-Neckar-Kreis), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.
Burg Hohenhardt, known today as Hohenhardter Hof, stands between the districts of Baiertal and Schatthausen near Wiesloch. What remains of this former motte dates in its visible structure mainly from a building phase around 1240, following an earlier stone keep from the early 12th century. The site lost its role as a noble residence as early as the 16th century, becoming a farming estate leased to tenant farmers, which explains its present look of a manor farm rather than a fortress. Since 1985 the grounds have housed the Wiesloch Golf Club, which uses the whole estate for its course.
