Burg Frauenstein stands in Frauenstein, in Hesse, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Recorded dating: 12th century. No visits are on record for this building.

The Burg Frauenstein stands in ruins on a rocky spur above the Frauenstein district of Wiesbaden. Built in the late 12th century by Heinrich Bodo von Idstein, its keep is unusual for its five-sided plan, a design meant to deflect arrows fired from the valley below. A roof beam dated to 1184 by dendrochronology is still preserved at the top of the tower, along with traces of a spiral staircase and fireplaces built into the thick walls.
