Biebrich Palace stands on the bank of the Rhine in Wiesbaden-Biebrich, in Hesse. This three-winged Baroque residence began as a modest pleasure pavilion for the princes of Nassau before growing into a seat of government. Its central rotunda, linked by galleries to two matching pavilions, makes it one of the most complete princely residences along the Rhine. The building now houses the Hessian state office for the preservation of historic monuments.
