Burg Birkendorf stands in Ühlingen-Birkendorf (Landkreis Waldshut), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.
Burg Birkendorf was once a hilltop fortress on the Bühl, a shell limestone hill rising to 839 metres northeast of Birkendorf, now part of the municipality of Ühlingen-Birkendorf. Today it survives only as a ruined site, the structure itself having vanished, with reportedly some remains of ditches still visible on the ground. First recorded in 1085 through a landowner named Ita von Birkendorf, it later passed through several noble families before being destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. The site will mainly appeal to those interested in local history and hikers looking for faint traces left in the landscape.
What to know

- The site sits on high ground on the Bühl, away from the village, so reaching it involves a walk.
