To make a day of it
Bodendenkmal in Postau, #D-2-7339-0297 stands in Postau (Landkreis Landshut), in Bavaria, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Schloss Grießenbach has vanished as a standing building; what remains today is an underground archaeological site in the hamlet of Grießenbach, part of the municipality of Postau in Bavaria. Founded after 1124 by Ludolf von Hahnreith following the destruction of the nearby Burg Hahnreuth, it became the seat of the Grießenbeck von Grießenbach family. The single-storey building with its steep pointed roof, still recorded in the early eighteenth century, no longer exists: only buried medieval and early modern building traces survive beneath the ground. The present parish church of Grießenbach, St. Stephanus, stands on the site of the former castle chapel.
