In Ouveillan, in the Aude department, the château du Terral stands on the site of a former 18th century farmstead. Built between 1889 and 1909 by architects Louis and Alexandre Garros, its exterior draws on 17th century style while the interiors evoke the following century. Visitors find a central block flanked by two pavilions, facades adorned with stone balustraded balconies, and a chapel topped with a pierced dome. In front of the building, a terrace and steps lead down to an ornamental pool.
