To make a day of it

Château du Petit Montjeu stands in Autun (Saône-et-Loire), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 17th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

The Château du Petit Montjeu stands south of Autun, near the Saint-Blaise quarter, within a walled park. Built in the 17th century for Jeannin, president of the Parliament of Burgundy, it has kept its original main building despite the addition, in the 19th century, of a neo-Gothic tower that noticeably alters its appearance. Its façades, roofs and porch with staircase are listed as historic monuments. The building is now privately owned.
