To make a day of it

Château du Feu stands in Juvigné (Mayenne), in the Pays de la Loire region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

Located at the hamlet of le Feu, in the commune of Juvigné in Mayenne, this 18th century château stands on a platform surrounded by water filled moats. Rebuilt on the remains of an earlier structure, it retains original woodwork and a wrought iron staircase railing from its construction period. On the first floor, alcoves and fireplaces still bear the coat of arms of the La Corbière family, who owned the estate from the 17th century onward. The grounds also include a garden now used as a vegetable plot, an orangery, a greenhouse, and tree lined lanes leading to the property.
