To make a day of it

Château des Bretonnières stands in Erbrée (Ille-et-Vilaine), in the Bretagne region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The château des Bretonnières stands at the hamlet of the same name, in the commune of Erbrée in Ille-et-Vilaine. Its present appearance results from several building campaigns, from a 15th-century manor destroyed during the Wars of the League to the neo-Renaissance additions of the 19th century. The mix of materials, rubble stone, granite, tufa and schist, reflects the changing tastes of its successive owners. The chapel, rebuilt in the 19th century, still holds a foundation stone dated 1598.
