In Andrezé, a delegated commune of Beaupréau-en-Mauges, the ruins of the Château des Hayes Gasselin still raise their north and west wall sections amid the Anjou countryside. Built from the 14th century onward, this fortified castle surrounded by moats was burned down by republican troops in 1794 during the Vendée wars. Remains of fireplaces can still be spotted from the south side, the only surviving traces of the former stronghold and its chapel.
