What the French Ministry of Culture records

A l'emplacement de l'ancien couvent des Capucins, Antoine Gérard, directeur de la faïencerie à partir de 1785, fait édifier le château, l'orangerie et les dépendances. Le site est occupé à partir de 1620, date d'installation des Capucins, dont il subsiste de l'établissement la salle voûtée, ancien bassin de réception des eaux, datée 1728, et partiellement la canalisation. Rareté de ce type de bâtiment en Lorraine.
